1. Openness and Transparency: We believe in openness and transparency in all our dealings. We will strive to communicate clearly and effectively with all members of the school community, including parents, students, and staff. We recognize that transparency and Openness are essential to building trust and maintaining integrity maintaining an effective Parents Association. Minutes of Meetings for Board Meetings shall be retained, and these records will be made available to all members of the Parents Association upon request.
2. Responsible use of Position: We understand that our position as Board members of the Parents Association comes with a certain amount of power and influence. We will use this power responsibly and with due consideration for the impact of our actions on the wider school community.
3. Disclosure and Conflict of Interest: We acknowledge the possibility of conflicts of interest that may arise when our personal or financial interests clash with the interests of the school community. In such cases, we commit to disclosing the conflict to the Parents Association Board and taking necessary measures to prevent or manage the conflict. If required, the individual with the conflict will abstain from decision-making or voting.
4. Integrity: We are committed to earning and sustaining the trust and support of the school and parent community. We will strive to provide high-quality services and support to parents, students, and staff. We act with honesty, transparency, and accountability in all our actions and decisions. We will conduct ourselves in a manner that reflects positively on the Parents Association and our community.
5. Confidentiality: We will respect the confidentiality of all information related to PA Board members, students, parents, and staff. We will only disclose or request necessary and required information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
6. Truthfulness and Due Care: We will be honest and truthful in all our dealings with parents, students, and staff. We will not misrepresent facts or intentionally deceive anyone in any way. We will take appropriate action to ensure that our actions do not cause harm or undue burden to any member of the school community.
7. Collaboration: We recognize that the PA Board is a collaborative body, and we will work together to achieve our goals. We will not attempt to overrule the PA without full disclosure and discussion with other members.
8. Use of PA Resources: Use of PA resources, email addresses, events, and meetings must not be used for personal gain or for the preferential treatment of an individual’s child in the school or any Parents Association services.
9. Respect and Inclusivity: We treat all members of the Parents Association and our wider community with respect, regardless of their background, beliefs, or opinions. We will listen actively, communicate clearly, and seek to understand each other’s perspectives. We strive to create an inclusive environment that values diversity and fosters a sense of belonging for all members regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, ability, religion, and socio-economic status.
10. Safety: We prioritize the safety and well-being of the children, our members, and our community. We will comply with all relevant health and safety regulations, take appropriate precautions to prevent accidents and injuries and respond quickly and effectively to any emergencies
